WEPCON consists of classified forums introducing new technologies, discussing capability gaps, and highlighting opportunities for engagement between industry partners and the Department of Defense.
Leadership will educate industry on various methods and forums for submitting ideas and collaborating with the U.S. Air Force Armament Directorate.
The goal of the event will be alignment with U.S. Air Force leadership and prime contractors -- in pursuit of solutions to the Armament Directorate’s most critical needs.

SPRING 2023
WEPCON is a two-part, bi-annual event series focused on driving Air Force alignment and synergies, and increased partnership conversations with Industry.
This event is a classified forum primarily with the U.S. Air Force Armament Directorate’s prime contractors - reviewing enterprise roadmaps, weapons investment priorities, and budget targets.
We will communicate contracting opportunities and various methods for submitting ideas to collaborate with the Directorate, including opportunities to pitch ideas for WEPCON BRAVO.
July 20 - 21, 2022
Weapons Pitch Day is the crowning event for small business industry engagement, their Super Bowl, their March Madness, their Daytona 500.
Dozens of small businesses will pitch to Air Force leadership for "Direct to Phase 2" SBIR contracts to accelerate the development of emerging weapons technology, focused on the Armament Directorate's Six Innovation Targets, at Weapons Pitch Day 2022.

We are excited to host the third Ask The Directorate virtual event that continues to accelerate change and lower the barrier to entry by increasing conversations with business leaders.
For the June event, the featured speaker will be Colonel Ronald Dunlap III, System Program Director for Air Dominance, Armament Directorate, Eglin Air Force Base, Florida.
We will begin accepting RSVPs two weeks before the start of the event, on Friday, June 10th. RSVPs will continue to be accommodated on a first come, first serve basis.

In the Armament Directorate’s ongoing effort to accelerate change and lower the barrier to entry, we are kicking off a monthly Ask The Directorate series.
Inspired by the “Ask Me Anything” virtual events – join us for this interactive opportunity, to chat virtually with key leaders of the Directorate. Our first session will feature Colonel David Hoffman, Deputy Disruptive Futures Division, Chief Digital Acquisition and Sustainment Office (DASO).
Our first Ask The Directorate event launches on Friday, April 29th, 2022 via Zoom – and will reoccur at the same time, the last Friday of each month.

With most COVID-19 restrictions now lifted by national, state, and local authorities, we can once again look forward to greeting each other in-person this September.

AFA is working closely with the Department of the Air Force leadership to create a truly memorable event for Airmen, Guardians, and their industry partners in celebration of the 75th Anniversary of AFA’s founding.
